Open Studio
Held in the UROP computer lab at the Undergraduate Science Building and typically open 10 hours/week, this studio staffed by undergraduates with previous MPortfolio experience provides drop-in support for learners who want additional support for creating the content and/or the design of their MPortfolios from their peers
Workshops for pilot leaders and facilitators
Workshops of 2.5 days given twice a year provide pilot site leaders (faculty, staff and GSI's) with resources and guidance to adopt MPortfolio (e.g. altering curricular goals, creating meta-reflection assignments, training in generative knowledge interviewing, developing assessment plans, learning the technology). Opportunity is provided to investigate integrative learning.
Integrative Knowledge Portfolio modules and manual
The rationale, steps, exercises, and methods for each of the four phases of the Integrative Knowledge Portfolio Process™ in order to design curricula, educate faculty, plan courses, create assignments, facilitate exercises, provide feedback to students, and plan public showcases of students' work.
Generative Knowledge Interviewing (GKI) Instruction
Knowledge retrieval method used to identify and document essential tacit knowledge embedded in peoples' experiences; has been used by many campus units (GIEU, Office of Development, Business and Finance, Human Resources, Ross Business School, Dentistry).
Workshop series for students
The library organizes a series of optional workshops for advancing MPortfolio content and/or design, including Writing for the Web, Designing Creative Portfolios, and Using Photoshop to Enhance Your Portfolio.
LSA Academic Advising
LSA academic advisors are offering guidance and feedback to MPortfolio students, helping identify learning experiences, providing feedback on portfolio content, and aiding students integrating values and aspirations into a cohesive philosophy statements and goals.
Sweetland Writing Center
Sweetland advisors offer guidance and feedback to create high-quality content for their public MPortfolios, taking a leadership role for Integrative Knowledge Portfolio Process in writing courses such as English 100 and 125 and a course to fulfill the undergraduate upper-level writing requirement (Sweetland 400).
